Agreement
These terms govern your use of LitSynth and of the solarpunkworks.com website. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Who we are
LitSynth and this website are operated by Solarpunk Works Pvt. Ltd.. You can reach us at support@solarpunkworks.com.
Acceptable use
Use LitSynth lawfully and sensibly. In particular, do not:
- upload content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes someone else's rights;
- attempt to break, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the service or to other users' data;
- use the service to create or distribute unlawful, harmful or deceptive material;
- resell the service, or present it as your own;
- use automated means to scrape the service or to bypass usage limits.
We may suspend or end access if you break these rules.
Your content stays yours
The documents you import and the notes you write remain yours. You keep all rights to your content, and we claim no ownership over it.
You give us only the limited permission needed to store, process and display your content so the service can work for you — for example, extracting text, building chunks and embeddings, and sending the relevant passages to the model when you ask a question.
AI output may be wrong
LitSynth uses AI models to summarise, extract and answer questions. AI output can be incomplete, out of date or simply incorrect, even when it reads confidently.
Treat AI output as a draft, not as fact. Check it against the original sources before you rely on it — especially in academic, medical, legal or professional work. You are responsible for what you publish.
Third-party services and your API keys
LitSynth relies on third-party services, including Google (sign-in, Drive, Cloud Storage and Firestore) and OpenRouter for AI model calls. Your use of those services is also governed by their own terms.
If you supply your own OpenRouter API key, you are responsible for it and for the usage charges it incurs. Keep it private; we store it encrypted and never show it back to you.
Availability and “as is” service
LitSynth is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. You use it at your own risk.
Features may change, and the service may be unavailable from time to time. We do not promise that any particular feature will always exist.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Solarpunk Works Pvt. Ltd. is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost data, lost research time, lost profits or lost opportunity, arising from your use of the service.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. The effective date above shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
